The Book of Thomas

Nathan Abbasi, an orphan and host of the popular streaming paranormal investigation show A Haunting Abroad, has been plagued by nightmares for as long as he can remember. The reason has always been a mystery, but his therapist suggests it could be caused by his subconscious desire to know who and where he came from.

When his show is canceled, he and his co-host, Sean Kemper, attempt to resurrect their careers with a documentary about Nathan's biological parents. Having only a birth certificate and a vague internet article to guide them, the filmmakers are led to an impoverished gated community in rural Fellowship County, Texas: a place of divine secrets and people willing to do anything to keep them.

It's there that Nathan soon finds that his nightmares have only just begun.
